3D Scanning
3D scanning is a versatile and accurate method for capturing a physical object into a digital workspace. KCB Machining utilizes a FARO Edge scanning arm combined with SpaceClaim and Mastercam to interpret physical data into a 3D mesh file. By bringing a physical object into a digital workspace, we can utilize CAD software to interpret this data into manufactured parts. 3D scanning can be used to reverse engineer items when CAD files or engineering drawings are not available.
